Objectives

The main objective of this organization is to implement various activities to provide basic facilities in the rural area of ​​Ahilyanagar and to create clean, beautiful and green villages, to run various self-help groups and initiatives to improve the standard of living of the villagers through the Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Improvement Mission, to provide shelter and shelter-related facilities under various Gharkul schemes, and to strengthen the Panchayati Raj system by empowering people’s representatives under the Development through Training program.

Functions

1. To implement the Integrated and Sustainable Rural Development Policy 2023-28.
2. To provide various basic facilities in the rural area.
3. To make basic services in the education and health sectors easily available to everyone.
4. To monitor the incentives, subsidies and activities for the welfare of women, farmers, animal husbandry, elderly artisans, etc. within the district.
5. To implement the schemes and programs of the Central and State Governments.
6. To monitor the functioning of the Panchayati Raj system.
7. To actively disseminate information about the initiatives taken by the Rural Development Department through various media.
8. To promptly implement the flagship programs of the Rural Development Department decided from time to time.
9. To promote conferences, workshops, online seminars and exhibitions for the economic empowerment of women in rural areas under the Maharashtra Gramin Jeevan Jyoti Abhiyan of the Rural Development Department.
