Maharashtra Right to Public Service Act
The Maharashtra Right to Public Service Act, 2015 has been enacted to ensure that notified services provided by the Government and all its subordinate public authorities are delivered to citizens in a transparent, efficient, and time-bound manner.
To monitor service delivery, the Maharashtra State Commission for Right to Public Service has been established. The headquarters is located in Mumbai.
If citizens do not receive services within time, they can file appeals. Officers may be penalized up to ₹5000 per case.
