Under the Primary Education Department of the Zilla Parishad, education is provided to students from Class 1 to Class 8 through Zilla Parishad Primary Schools. At the district level, the Education Officer (Primary) is the head of the department, while at the taluka level, the Block Education Officer heads the administration.

To ensure quality education for students from Class 1 to Class 8, various schemes sponsored by the Central Government and the State Government are implemented through the Primary Education Department of the Zilla Parishad.

• Payment of form fees and school affiliation fees for students appearing in scholarship exams (Class 5 to 8)
