Rural Pilgrimage Development Scheme

Day by day, the number of devotees/pilgrims for Deva darshan is increasing steadily at places of pilgrimage in rural areas. In such places it is not possible for devotees/pilgrims to provide various facilities to the local bodies (eg Gram Panchayat) due to their meager income. Therefore, the government has started a plan to provide grants to local self-government bodies for the development of pilgrimage sites in rural areas.
