Ahilyanagar district is the largest district in the entire state of Maharashtra. Ahilyanagar district has 1 Municipal Corporation, 10 Municipal Councils, 5 Nagar Panchayats, 1 Katak Mandal, 113 Primary Health Centers (out of which 100 are operational), 22 Rural Hospitals, 3 Upazila Hospitals, 1 General Hospital, 5 Primary Health Teams, 2 Ayurvedic Clinics, 598 Health Sub-Centers (out of which 555 are operational) and 24/7 Pr. A. K. 52, etc. Health facilities are provided to the rural and urban population. As a district that is a pioneer in implementing various schemes of the Health Department in the state, Ahilyanagar district has made a mark in the public health department. .
